KARACHI, July 29: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and coke also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Maersk Deva, Abbud-G, Santa Fe, Monique, Ocean Beauty, MCT Stock and Ice Base, were busy in loading and unloading cement, rice, chemicals, iron ore, palm oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 81,628 metric tons comprising 67,869 tons of import and 13,759 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Deva, Santa Fe and MeT Stock Horn sailed out while Ice Base and Monique were expected to depart on Tuesday.
