KARACHI, Aug 15: Three ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths on Sunday, said a PQA press release on Monday.

In the meantime, another ship with project cargo also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Al-Mirqab, Oocl Kobe, Al-Mansorah, Alexi-1, Alabama Belle, Yanaseni, AI-Soor-II and Dubai Crown, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, chemicals, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,955 metric tons comprising 67,731 tons of import and 7,224 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Al-Mirqab and Oocl Kobe sailed out while Al-Soor II was expected to depart.
