Govt official caught taking bribe

HYDERABAD, Sept 13: Anti-corruption establishment officials of the city circle caught red handed two officials of kutchi abadi project in a surprise raid, conducted under the supervision of a first class magistrate here on Saturday.

According to ACE inspector Akbar Chandio, the trap was arranged on the complaint of one Mr. Muqarneen, who had paid Rs0.8 million to officials Ali Akbar Khokhar, the project officer Sasti Basti, Kotri and sub-engineer Iftikhar Ahmed for obtaining plots. He claimed that officials had demanded another Rs10,000 for documentation. He informed that raid was conducted in the office of Director Kutchi Abadi. He said that tinted notes were given to officials.

ROBBERY: Bandits barged into the house of a school teacher of a school in unit-10 Latifabad near Irfani mosque and looted Rs250,000 and 24 tolas of gold, cell phone and other valuables on Friday.
