MELBOURNE, Sept 20: Australian 1,500-metre swimming star Grant Hackett is making plans for life after the pool, signing with a television network to do sports and lifestyle programming.
The Nine Network said Saturday that Hackett, who won silver in the 1,500 last month at Beijing but missed out on gold in the event for a third straight Olympics, would read weekend sports news.
Hackett, the world record holder in the 1,500, also will be a revolving co-host on Wide World of Sports and a reporter on a health and lifestyle programme, the TV network said in a statement.—AP
