DADU, Oct 5: A large number of people took out a procession in Bhan Syedabad on Sunday to protest against sale of flour at exorbitant price.

While marching on different roads of the town, they chanted slogans against traders and chakki owners who were not selling flour at government-fixed rates and forcing the poor people to pay Rs30 per kg. They urged the government to provide them relief.

Meanwhile, Social workers and political activists took out a rally here on Sunday to protest against drug dens and other social evils in the city being run with the support of local police.

The protesters alleged that drug and gambling dens were being run in different areas of city with the support of local police, who had fixed monthly. They said that criminals were coming at gambling and narcotic dens from other towns pushing the crime graph upwards

They appealed to DIG Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi to take action to eliminate evil dens.

SUSPENDED: Four headmasters and 16 teachers of primary schools were suspended for negligence in duty here on Saturday.

ADEO, Education, Dadu, Ghulam Sarwar Panhwar, visited Makhan Panhwar, Ibrahim Leghari, Haroon Solangi and Gulshan Ibrahim primary schools and found four headmasters and 16 teachers absent from their duties. He suspended them and ordered an inquiry.

ATTACK: A man killed his brother and nephew over a domestic dispute in Khasa Chandio Village of Dadu taluka on Sunday.

Sheral Chandio along with his five armed accomplices attacked the house of his brother Mashooq Chandio, shot him and his nephew Wazir Ali Chandio and injured three others. The injured were admitted to Civil Hospital Dadu.

The bodies were brought to Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Dadu town police registered murder FIRs against Sheral Chandio and five others.

Sajan Chandio, brother of deceased Wazir Chandio, complained that the police had not arrested the accused.
