PESHAWAR, Oct 6: A Ukrainian delegation, comprising the Ambassador Ihor Pasko, Sergy Hebenko, first secretary and Ziaud Din, project manager called on Governor NWFP Owais Ahmed Ghani at the Governor’s House here on Monday.

Later, during a meeting, which was also attended by the Chief Executive FDA, Mohammad Shahzad Arbab, Secretary Governor Arbab Mohammad Arif, GM Mineral FDA Mohammad Yaqub, Dr Fazal Rabbi of Geological Department, University of Peshawar and other officials of Fata Development Authority.

The Ukrainian delegation gave a presentation on the solution-oriented products and services from Ukraine that could be implemented to foster development efforts by the government in Fata.

Three of the products/services from Ukraine were introduced including RSMP methodology for water, mineral, oil and gas prospecting; health diagnostic system based on bio-resonance computer diagnostic methodology developed in Ukraine and provision of higher education opportunities to the students from the NWFP and Fata in the Ukrainian universities.

The governor thanked the delegation and appreciated the scientific and technological advancements made by Ukraine in the field of mineral exploration and exploitation and health diagnostic system.

He also appreciated the gesture, shown by the Ukrainian government to offer higher educational opportunities to the students from NWFP and Fata.The governor desired to take advantage of the offer made by the Ukrainian delegation. However, he suggested that further details should be worked out by both the sides through coordinated efforts, adding that technical experts from both the sides would sit together to work out the prospect of usage of the subject technologies in Fata.

Similarly, to avail the opportunity of sending students from NWFP and Fata for higher education to Ukraine would also be worked out by both the sides through mutual consultation at an appropriate level. — APP
