Wrestlers shine in India

ISLAMABAD, Oct 14: Pakistan wrestlers’ team comprising Salamat Ali (42kg) and Haider Ali (46kg) won two silver medals at the third Commonwealth Youth Games being held in Pune, India.

According to the press release issued by the Pakistan Sports Board on Tuesday, Mohammad Asif Javed qualified for semi-final in the 100-metre race while the table tennis team reached the second round.

Pakistan contingent comprising 24 members is participating in five disciplines — athletics, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling.
