KARACHI, Oct 22: Six ships including Baltimor carrying 41,900 tons of imported wheat and a cement loader are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Wan Hai-301, Global Express, Hat-1 to unload and load containers, Yamamah to unload palm oil and Quetta to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of nine on Wednesday.
The departing ships were led by Johar, Golden Top, D.D. Top, Bunga Teratai-4, Kota Gunwan, Kety-2, APL Yokohama, Sinar Bintan and Ulcas, while Lucky Arrow, APL Shenzhen and Quetta are due to sail out on Thursday.
A total tonnage of 62,223 tons comprising 26,962 tons of export and 35,261 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Baltimor with 41,900 tons of imported wheat, Adritic Arrow to load 9,000 tons of cement, Nicetec with general cargo, Soon Fu and City of Xiamen with containers, Gulf Tiger and Al-Salam-2 with diesel.
