KARACHI, Oct 27: A dozen ships carrying imported wheat, sulphur and to load clinker and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships, Elena, Bulk Arrow to load cement, Hanjin Calcutta to offload fertiliser, H.S. Bizet, Sima Pride and Tower Bridge to unload and load containers, Gulf Tuger and Prinkipo, oil tankers, were berthed.

Sailing was brisk as over one dozen vessels notably Cosco Lian, Yun Gang, King Brian, Eric G. Gibson, City of Xiamen, Soon Fu, Nicetec, Chemroad Rose, and Al-Farabi, Adriatic Arrow, Empress Phoenix, H.S. Bizet, Csave Lonquimay, Oel Peace, Deja Bhum, Al-Salm-2, Victory-2 and Navision Bulker departed during the last two days.

While Gulf Tiger, Riyal Success, Admiral Coral, Serife, Ymamama, Alyia, MOL Admirations and Sima Pride are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 222,000 tons comprising 72,567 tons of export cargo and 150,000 tons import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due to arrive on Tuesday: Clean Seas with 34,988 tons of imported wheat, Medroma to load 25,000 tons of clinker, Hadrian with sulphur, Al-Marwah

with chemicals, Rich Century to load 40,000 tons of ethanol, Afra and Lady Rea with general cargo, Bunga Teratai Due, Kota Hapas, Montania, APL Chicago and X-press Khyber with containers.
