N.As apex court without judges

GILGIT, Oct 28: The federal government has not finalised the panel for the appointment of the new chief judge and members of the Northern Area Supreme Appellate Court (SAC).

The previous chief judge and two members of the court, who had been appointed on contract basis, completed their term a month ago.

The Federal Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Northern Area moved a summary to appoint Syed Jaffar Shah and Yaqoob advocate but the Northern Area Good Governance Order did not approve it.—Correspondent
