KARACHI, Oct 31: An official of the European Union (EU), Mr Manuel Martinez Blasco, visited the Karachi Fish Harbour on Thursday.

The EU has imposed a ban on imports of seafood from Pakistan after some reservations were raised about the handling and storage of fish and shrimps in the harbour.

During the visit, Provincial Minister for Fisheries Zahid Ali Burghari briefed the EU official about the progress of ongoing projects which include the renovation of auction halls.

Later, Mr Manuel was taken to Karachi Shipyard.
