LONDON, Nov 12: The Ministry of Investment has appointed Mr Vince Harris OBE, Business Adviser, International Power PLC, as Pakistan’s Honorary Investment Counsellor (HIC) for UK.

A Pakistan High Commission press release issued on Wednesday said Mr Harris had about 40 years’ experience in power generation business.

In Pakistan, Vince was CEO of Hub Power Company Ltd during its most turbulent years when the company was engaged in a long drawn legal battle over alleged kickbacks for obtaining a favourable deal from the second PPP government.

He has also served as regional managing director of International Power in Singapore, Chairman Thai National Power in Thailand and was on the board of directors of Hub Power Company, the Kot Addu Power Company and the Uch Power Company in Pakistan and president commissioner of Paiton Energy Pte.
