ISLAMBAD, Nov 25: Indian shooters continued their winning streak grabbing two gold medals each in individual and team events in the fourth South Asian Shooting Championship at the Gun Club of Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Heena Sidhu,19, from India bagged a gold medal in 10m air pistol women’s individual event scoring an unmatchable 485.9 followed by compatriot Anisa Sayed who scored 470.5 clinching a silver. Mehwish Maqsood from Pakistan claimed a bronze scoring 468.2.

Hambir Singh, from India took a gold medal in 25m standard pistol men’s individual event scoring 568 as fellow marksman Omkar Singh scored 558 to grab silver. Mustaqeem Shah from Pakistan won a bronze scoring 557.

In the men’s 25m standard pistol team event India with a total tally of 1,679 pts took the gold while hosts Pakistan clinched silver scoring 1,634. Sri Lankan shooters bagged bronze posting 402 Pts.

In the 10m air pistol women’s team event India again claimed a gold with 1,127 pts, followed by Pakistan with a silver scoring 1,106. Sri Lanka claimed a bronze finishing with a score of 1,080.

India are on top of the medals table with a total tally of 35 followed by Pakistan with 16 medals. Bangladesh is at number three with 8 medals followed by Sri Lanka with five medals.
