KARACHI, Dec 2: Nine ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load cement and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships berthed: Fatima, to load cement, Capetan Vassilis to offload coal, Sinar Bintan, Csav Lonquen, APL Zircon, Sima Pride to unload and load containers and Johar to offload crude oil.

Five ships, S. Bizet, Cav Longquen, H & H, Tide, Blida and Laftah departed on Tuesday, while Gulf Cloud, AP Zircon, Johar and Cape Negro are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 90,29 tons, comprising 15,116 tons of export cargo and 75,013 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Urania, to load ethanol, Al-Aqeela-1, to load cement, Union Bonita, with general cargo, Flores Sea, with crude oil, Cape Negro, Oel Transworld, Sima Yazd, Harmony and Bonga Teratai Du, with containers.
