KARACHI, Dec 6: Pakistani and Indian security forces have discussed joint patrolling along the border, construction activities, inadvertent border crossers and demarcation at certain sensitive points.

According to Ranger’s sources here on Saturday, it was a routine meeting between security officials of the two countries, held quarterly.

The 12-member delegation of the Indian Border Security Force was led by Deputy Inspector-General B.K. Singh. The Deputy Director-General of the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), Brig Mohammad Latif, led the Pakistani side.

The meeting was held in a “cordial and friendly atmosphere” and the two sides agreed that such meetings would pave way for good neighbourly relations and contribute towards peace and prosperity in the region, the sources said.—APP
