KARACHI, Dec 15: Eight ships carrying coal and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where five ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Yick Zao, to offload imported wheat, China Star, Mol Ability, to unload and load containers, and Johar and Torm Emile, both oil tankers.

Sailing on the other hand was fairly active as nine ships, Calvin P. Titus, Hyundai Admiral, Y.M. Inauguration, Stadt Koln, Cap Garriel, Green Valley, Northern Harmony, Golden Arrow, and Johar departed, while China Star, Lucky Arrow, Leo Princess, Mol Ability, Sima Pride and Evi are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.164m tons comprising 47,398 tons of export cargo, including 4,493 tons of rice, 19,418 tons of cement and 12,400 tons of clinkers and 0.117m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The ships due on Tuesday are: Cap Colorado, Kota Hapas, Deja Bhum, H & H Tide, Bunga Bidara, Harmony, Y.M. Milano and Hyundai Qingdao, with containers and Anton Topic with coal
