SIALKOT, Dec 24: Jamaat-i-Islami naib amir Liaquat Baloch has said that the defence of Pakistan is in strong hands and the entire nation is united and ready to defend every inch of the motherland shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, he said Pakistan did not want war, but was prepared for defence.

“If the war is imposed upon us, the whole nation will be united and the armed forces are fully capable of safeguarding and defending the territorial integrity of the country,” he added.

Baloch said India actually wanted to get Pakistan’s nuclear programme capped.
