New SBP’s cut-off timings

KARACHI, Dec 26: The State Bank on Friday introduced new cut-off timings for the dealing by banks’ treasuries.

The cut-off dealing time for all permitted foreign exchange, derivatives and money market transactions will be observed up to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday and up to 1:00pm on Saturday.

The instructions will be effective from Friday, Jan 2, 2009. Authorised dealers were advised to strictly observe these timings.

“It is further reiterated that the cut-off timings for settlement of inter-bank deals conveyed vide FSCD circular No 20 of October 31, 2007 will remain unchanged,” said a circular issued by the SBP.
