KARACHI, Jan 24: Four ships including two cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves gathered momentum on Saturday as the port agencies allotted berths well in advance to eight ships, APL Balboa, Bauhina Bridge to unload and load containers, Le Rong, Noor-e-Madina and Industrial Crescent to unload and load general cargo, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Perka to load molasses and Petali Lady to offload jet oil to cope with the inward rush of incoming foreign flag vessels.

Sailing was modest as only four ships, Hyun Jin KS-3, APL Balboa, JBU Orient and T.S. India departed, while Le Rong, Bauhina Bridge, Industrial Crescent, Oel Transworld, Medhu Faru, Uni Angel and Pacific Arrow are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 120,000 tons comprising 34,126 tons of export cargo and 86,095 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Tiger Speed, Hinjin Ningbo with containers, Sari and Bulk Arrow to load cement.

The following ships are due on Monday: Difko Chaser with mogas, MOL Ability, Sima Sahba and Cap Colorado with containers and Cielo Dipisa with steel cargo.
