BERLIN, Feb 7: Germany’s economy minister offered his resignation on Saturday, but the leader of his party swiftly rejected the offer, which came as Germany combats a recession and gears up for a national election.
Economy Minister Michael Glos offered his resignation to Horst Seehofer, the leader of his conservative Christian Social Union party, ministry spokesman Steffen Moritz said.—AP
