Rashid Latif to lead Lashing World XI

KARACHI, Feb 7: Former Pakistan Test captain Rashid Latif will lead Lashing World XI in the second Emirates Palace Cricket Festival being held in Abu Dhabi from Feb 24 to March 31, it was announced on Saturday.

Lashings World XI will take on an Abu Dhabi CC Chairman’s XI and an Etihad XI. It will also include two former Pakistan Test cricketers Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq.

The event is likely to attract some high-quality opposition for Lashings as it is hoped that county teams Surrey and Yorkshire will also be taking part in the Twenty20 tournament.
