Injury scare for Olympian

LIEVEN (France), Feb 11: Olympic 110-metre hurdles champion Dayron Robles had an injury scare when he pulled up during a 60 metres run out at an indoor meeting here on Tuesday.

Robles, who was making his return to competition this season, began to slow down from the second hurdle onwards before putting his hand behind his left thigh and grimacing.

Robles explained however that the injury was “nothing serious,” though a similar problem kept him out of recent meets at Gothenburg, Sweden, and Stuttgart, Germany.—AFP
