Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Feb 23: Brisk shipping activity was witnessed at the port where as many as 13 ships were accommodated on berths to load, unload cement, containers, oil, and general cargo during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, four ships to load, unload naphtha, soyabean oil, cars, chemicals, crude oil and project cargo arrived at the outer anchorage.

The ships due to arrive on Tuesday are: Hellen, Quetta, Chembulk Savannah, APL Chicago, H&H Tide, Deja Bhum, S G Fascon and Cassasndra

The port handled a total cargo of 125,226 tons comprising of 158,223 tons imports and 32,995 tons of exports during the report period.

Three ships sailed out to the sea on Monday while another two vessels were due to sail on Tuesday.
