ISLAMABAD, Aug 23: The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet (cabinet secretariat, inter-provincial coordination and special initiatives) expressed on Monday dissatisfaction over the pace of implementation of the Aghaz-i-Huqooq-i-Balochistan package announced on Nov 24 last year.

Briefing a meeting of the committee, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Inter-provincial Coordination and Chairman of the Implementation Commission on 18th Amendment Mian Raza Rabbani admitted that only a few problems had been addressed.

He said that figures of 6,000 people missing in Balochistan were not correct.

The establishment secretary put the figures only at 105, of whom 27 have been traced. The committee was informed that the term of the judicial commission on missing persons from Balochistan had been extended till Dec 31 and 28 more cases handed over to it.
