ATTOCK, Sept 4: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Mohammad Akhtar Abbas has suspended the in charge of Faqirabad police post for allegedly taking bribe and issued show-cause notices to seven policemen, including two SHOs, for misconduct, poor performance and showing negligence in their duties.

The district police headquarters said here on Saturday that the in charge, Faqirabad police post, SI Nadir Khan, was suspended for taking bribe in a case.

Similarly, a criminal case was registered against ASI Ghulam Shabbir of Attock city police station for misconduct.

Moreover show-cause notices were issued to seven police officials including SHO Rangu police station Inspector Mohammad Khalid, SHO Hasanabdal city police station, investigating officers SIs Sikandar, Mumtaz Khan, Zafar Iqbal, Mohammad Liaquat and ASI Khudadad Khan for carrying out poor investigation in important cases and failing to arrest proclaimed offenders and other wanted criminals in their respective areas.
