KARACHI, Oct 3: Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) defeated Navy 2-0 in the Pakistan Premier Football League match at the Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi, on Sunday.

It was second leg between the two teams. The first leg drew 1-1 on Sept 23.

KRL scored their first goal in the fifth minute through Abid Ghafoor who shot wide from 20 yards into the net on Mudassar Saeed’s cross.

They doubled the score in the ninth minute through Zia Ussalam, who overcame Navy defence, whipping a powerful shot that found the left corner of the goal.

Navy recorded six points in as many matches while KRL secured eight points in five matches.—PPI
