Thousands displaced by the Pakistan floods in August will spend the winter in camps. This indicates that food supplies to 3.5 million will be threatened, with large swathes of land in southern Sindh still inundated by flood waters. The World Bank and Asian Development Bank have estimated the damage to be at $9.7 billion. Recent stark warnings of aid shortage remind that 10 million people need immediate food and 7 million are still without adequate shelter. The US announced last week that it will provide more than $4.3 million to assist displaced families in southern Sindh. – Photography by Marium Chaudhry, Text by Razeshta Sethna
