LAHORE, Nov 6: Some 40 illegal structures along Multan Road from Scheme Mor to Azam Gardens were demolished during an eight-hour operation on Saturday.

Shops and other commercial structures raised on public utility land along the thoroughfare, being remodelled nowadays, had been hampering work on the project.

Carried out by the Lahore Development Authority, Samanabad Town Municipal Administration and the National Logistic Cell, the operation continued from 9am to 5pm.
