ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United States signed a 150-megawatt wind power generation project on Sunday.
The project will be set in the coastal areas of Sindh and will be completed at a cost of Rs.32 billion.
The agreement was signed by US Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke and Secretary Water and Power Javed Iqbal in Islamabad.
It was reported that the project will save Pakistan $45 million per year in fuel cost.
Holbrooke said that electricity shortfall was a big problem in Pakistan and Afghanistan and America wanted to help Pakistan solve this issue.
