ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday said government was cracking down on corruption, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives, Malik said terrorism can only be eliminated with cooperation from the public.

He further said government will reward those giving information and leads on terrorists.

Malik appreciated the efforts of Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and said the RGST would widen the country’s tax base.

Widening the tax net is vital for the country's security and survival, he said.
