News reports that legendary singer Abida Parveen had suffered a heart attack a week ago in Lahore made the entire music world sad. She underwent an immediate angioplasty, which by the grace of God proved successful and now the great folk, Sufi and ghazal singer is feeling much better.

Along with Mehdi Hasan, Reshma and Farida Khanum, Abida Parveen is one of the genuine living legends of Pakistan and their presence is never felt more badly than in these extremely trying days. We wish Abida Parveen a quick recovery and hope that she will get into the recording studio or grace the stage as soon as possible.
