In one part of the world, employees blow and paint glass spheres, for Christmas and New Year, at Biryusinka factory in Russia's Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, December 6, 2010. The factory, founded in 1942, produces decorative glass spheres, which can be found on Christmas trees all over the country and in Moscow's Kremlin in particular, during the festive season. In another corner of the globe, Kashmiri artisans weave “Kani” shawls on looms in Batpora, west of Srinagar, December 6, 2010. Kani shawls are woven on a fame-loom using Tooji, which have coloured woolen threads attached to them. A Kani shawl takes about three months to a year for an artisan to complete depending on the embroidery and fetches from 20,000 rupees ($445) to 70,000 rupees ($1,555).
