ron Legacy, the sequel to 1982’s Tron, takes us back to the cyber world of The Grid. Here we meet Kevin Flynn, who has gone into hiding and is locked in a battle against his own software creation CLU. But that’s just back of the bigger story, our hero this time around is Kevin’s son, Sam, who must battle the machinations of the world of The Grid, find his father and rescue him from the grips of CLU. The film is going to be a 3D extravaganza on par with Avatar and features some spectacular special effects. In addition to keeping a computer, digital, theme across the board, the filmmakers brought in electronic duo Daft Punk for the soundtrack of the film. Expect this to be a fantastic adventure!

Since the demise of the greatest singer of all time, top musicians of today are coming together to celebrate the life and times of Michael Jackson. The 10-song album Michael was recently released and features diverse artists like Lenny Kravitz and 50 Cent, and is a collection of some pop ballads which are reminiscent of the Dangerous album. The album was released posthumously after many famous producers came together and finished work on the final work of Michael Jackson.

Naturalist John James Audubon’s 1827 book, Birds of America, is now the world's most expensive published book after fetching $10.3 million at an auction in London. The book is the outcome of Adubon’s mission to paint and describe all the birds of North America and for this he travelled down the Mississippi River, observing birds in their natural habitat. Fewer than 120 copied of the book are known to exist. Measuring three feet by two feet, this oversized book is a stunning masterpiece in the history of print, with most of the birds painted life size! It contains portraits of some 435 birds and is of great scientific value too. But it is Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci’s notebook, with his handwritten notes and illustrations, that is probably the most expensive book, which was sold to Bill Gates for $31 million in 1994. Well, one can expect that the current estimated value of the book must be much higher.

Whereas China and India are locking their sights on exploring the Moon, Japan earlier this year launched a spacecraft to explore the Venus. One of Earth’s neighbours, Venus has an atmosphere that has gone awry. Temperatures of up to 460C and pressures of that up to 93 times that of Earth, Venus is the perfect example of a greenhouse effect gone out of control. Unfortunately, the probe Akatsuki, overshot on its journey and is now reportedly headed towards the Sun. Disappointed scientists and researchers will have to wait another six years until the probe slingshots around an orbit of the Sun and returns to Venus.
