KARACHI: The Traffic Police have made alternate traffic arrangements for commuters wishing to view Sea View, Clifton and other entertainment places.
According to an announcement here on Thursday, the following diversions have been made for people who will celebrate New Year Nigh 2011:
All vehicular Traffic coming from Akhtar Colony via Express Way and Korangi area will not be allowed to move towards Khayaban-e-Ittehad (Sea View) but will be diverted on main Korangi Road, Shara-e-Faisal, Regent Chowk, Club Chowk, Sultanabad, Mai Kolachi Road, Boat Basin, Bilawal Chowrangi to Zia Uddin Chowrangi from where they can proceed to Sea View via Khayaban-e-Ghalib.
There will be one way Traffic from Ali Baba / China Chowrangi upto Akhtar Colony Light Signal via Sea View Village Restaurant and Khayaban-e-Ittehad.
No vehicular Traffic would be allowed to move towards Two-Sword Roundabout from KPT Underpass, except for the vehicles of residents of the area.
The vehicular traffic will not be allowed to enter from Bilawal Chowrangi towards Clifton Helipad and Khayaban-e-Firdosi will be completely closed for traffic.
All heavy traffic coming from Maripur Road will not be allowed to move towards Mai Kolachi Road and will be diverted from Jinnah Bridge to reach their destination via Hub River Road and Share-e-Pakistan.
All heavy vehicles coming from Korangi Industrial Area will be diverted before Jam Sadiq Bridge towards National High Way to proceed Northern Bypass and onwards.
Parking will not be allowed on following main arteries of roads and streets: Main Shara-e-Faisal,Abdullah Haroon Road, Dr. Zia Uddin Ahmed Road, Mai Kolachi Road, Korangi Road and M.T Khan Road etc.
Strict orders have also been taken that the use of motorcycles without or broken silencer will be strictly prohibited and any body found using it will be handed over to local police for legal action.
All the residents of Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Kemari Town, Lyari Town, and Site Town, may use Estate Avenue, Mauripur Road, Jinnah Bridge, Mai Kolachi road, Boat Basin and Bilawal Chowrangi for going to Sea View. 3.
All the residents of North Nazimabad Town, Gulberg Town, Liaquatabad town, Gulshan Town, Gulberg Town, New Karachi Town, may use M.A Jinnah Road Garden Road Zaib-un-Nisa Street Avari Light singal, Club Chowk, PIDC Chowk, Sultanabad, Mai Kolachi, Boat basin, Bilawal House, Zia uddin Chowrangi to Khayaban-e-Ghalib from where they can proceed to reach Sea View.
All the residents of Gadap Town, Bin Qasim Town, Landhi Town, Korangi Town, Shah Faisal Town, Jamshed Town and Sadder Town, may use main Share-e-Faisal to Mai Kolachi Road for Sea View. – APP
