ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has condemned the fresh wave of target killings in Karachi and called upon the leaders of MQM, ANP and PPP, urging them to work together for establishment of peace and harmony in the city.

Gilani on Friday talked to MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and ANP President Asfandyar Wali Khan and asked them to appeal their party workers and followers to show tolerance in the violence hit city.

He also talked to Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik to chalk out an action plan to ensure law and order in the city.

Gilnai also directed Malik to reach Karachi and coordinate the strategy with Ibad and the MQM leadership.
