LAHORE: The Sui Northern Gas Company Limited on Saturday issued a schedule of five days a week gas load shedding for industries in the Faisalabad region, DawnNews reported.

Subsequently, and after consultations, the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) announced that it will protest against the new schedule.

Over 450 industries in the Faisalabad region have been experiencing several difficulties due to gas outages.

The Aptma stated that SNGCL authorities were bent upon destroying the textile industry and called a meeting regarding the increase in the number of days for gas load shedding.

The association will devise a strategy on the issue in its meeting.
