BEING a student of a private university, I have a passion for playing cricket, but I hear people talking negatively about women’s cricket.

Our women’s cricket team has been trying to change the misconception of the people about women playing cricket but it still has not been accepted by the people.

I do not understand why women sportsmanship is not treated with respect in our country.

Girls like me who have talent and want to compete but see no training institute.

The Pakistan Women Cricket Control Association (PWCCA) should organise events at the university and college level so that women students can come forward.

Our women’s cricket team won a gold medal in the Asian Games last year which made our whole nation very proud. If the Pakistan Women Cricket Control Association makes an effort to organise such events at the local level, many women aspirants will come forward to play.
