QUETTA, March 8: Lawyers staged a sit-in here on Tuesday and vowed to continue boycotting court proceedings and holding rallies till the recovery of their four colleagues who were kidnapped about two weeks ago.

Earlier, police stopped the lawyers near the T&T Chowk from proceeding towards the Governor House to stage a protest demonstration there.

Addressing the protesters, Balochistan Bar Association President Baz Mohammad Kakar welcomed the recovery of kidnapped Sibi District and Sessions Judge Jan Mohammad Gohar and Civil Judge Mohammad Ali Kakar, but said the lawyers would continue their struggle till safe return of their colleagues Munir Mirwani, Agha Zahir Shah, Saleem Akhtar and Tahir Ahmed.

He claimed that the government and law-enforcement agencies were not interested in tracing the kidnapped lawyers, while they had put all their efforts in recovering the judges.
