ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday said Pakistan’s leadership as well the political opposition had agreed that the court would decide upon the Raymond Davis case, DawnNews reported.

In an official statement issued from the Prime Minister House, Gilani said the government and the opposition had agreed to respect the public sentiment and decide accordingly on the Davis issue.

Gilani emphasised that the government only implemented the court’s decision to release Davis.

“Blaming the release of Davis on one institution would be inappropriate,” Gilani said, adding, however, that this was “purely the decision of a court which was followed”.
