ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly calling for a debate on the role of the army, the intelligence agencies, the judiciary, the parliament and the political parties, DawnNews reported.

The motion was submitted by PML-N MNAs Birjees Tahir and Tahira Aurangzeb.

The motion stated that since the release of CIA contractor Raymond Davis has led to questions among the public regarding the role of the various state institutions, these questions should be answered and the public should be taken into confidence.

Raymond Davis was released and quickly flown out of Pakistan on March 16 after the heirs of the two youths he had shot dead on January 27 told a local court they had accepted blood money.
