LAHORE, March 20: Heirs of Ibadur Rehman, the youth run over by a rashly-driven US consulate vehicle in January last, staged a sit-in outside the consulate building here on Sunday to seek arrest of the officials involved in the incident.

The sit-in continued for more than two hours as the deceased's brother, Sajjadur Rehman, announced that they would continue protesting the same way every Sunday until justice was not provided to them.

Declaring that the victim's family does not want blood money, he said the families of Faizan and Fahim, the two youths shot dead by CIA operative Raymond Davis, were provided justice although the police had been calling the two robbers.

“There had been no charge against our brother who was run over by an irresponsibly-driven consulate vehicle coming to rescue Raymond Davis. But the police are neither arresting the accused nor are they taking into custody the vehicle as an evidence of the incident.”
