LAHORE: MPA Chaudhry Moonis Elahi of the PML-Q was handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on a three day physical remand in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case on Monday, DawnNews reported.

Moonis was presented in civil judge Irfan Basra's court after the completion of an earlier remand.

FIA officials had told court that the agency had to recover Rs320 million from the accused which he was alleged to have embezzled in the NICL.

Moonis had first surrendered to the FIA on Thursday after an LHC division bench rejected his application for a pre-arrest bail in the NICL scam.
