ISLAMABAD: After a meeting with Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble on Thursday, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said there were intelligence reports that the Taliban were now active in India, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives, Noble said the Interpol also managed to arrest a terrorist from Colombo with the assistance of Pakistan.

Noble further said that the Interpol had approved two million euros for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

He said the FIA was also being provided access to Inerpol's data.

Moreover, Malik said he hoped that India would ensure security for the Pakistani cricket team during the semi-final in Mohali.
