IT was sad to read in Tuesday's Dawn about the death of Mateen Ahmed Khan, who worked for your paper for three decades.
Besides being an accomplished journalist, he was a thorough gentleman. His obituary should have mentioned his fondness for music, especially classical. On his invitation I had once attended a musical evening at his home with others having a taste for classical music. He also had a lively sense of humour.
I pray for the peace of his soul. AHMAD RAZI SIDDIQI Karachi
