ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Monday that his meeting with the Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh during the semi-final between India and Pakistan will help improve ties between the South Asian neighbours, DawnNews reported.

He made this statement while chairing a meeting of the federal cabinet and added that the ‘cricket diplomacy’ is an opportunity to help improve our bilateral ties and hope that talks would further proceed.

The prime minister strongly condemned the burning of the Holy Quran by a pastor in Florida. He also condemned the drone attack in North Waziristan stating that such attacks would only derail the coalition of Pakistan and US for the fight against terrorism.
