Print making works presented for press review
ISLAMABAD, March 30: As many as 23 works of print making were presented for press review at Nomad Art Gallery (NAG) on Wednesday by popular print maker Anjum Ayub.
The show will be opened for public on March 31 and would continue till April 12 featuring symbolism amalgamated with colours and techniques.
The artist used mediums like sugar, router, mixed oil, etching, aquatint, mixed ink, sugar-lift, intaligo, dry paint, ink and brush and mixed media.
“I paint what I see but I use more than my eyes to see while memories can be as vivid as objects,” the artist said, adding:
“Ambiance can be as real as landscapes, moods can be as real as colours, soul can have a face and experiences can be rooms that are personal on paper as well as in the mind.”
“I am deeply attracted and moved by the concerns of the soul and enjoy working with colours and textures using different methods,” Anjum commented on the works.
He said that he combined the approach to techniques with the eternal beauty to create a kind of sanctuary for the soul.
These prints are the products of the artists’ ideas, style, spirit, personality and conscience – none of which can be expressed without the other.
The artist displayed his collections at home and abroad and got many awards for his excellent techniques. — APP
