QUETTA, March 31: Ten people were killed in a bomb attack, a landmine blast and an incident of firing in different areas of Balochistan on Thursday.

Sources said that tribal elder Raham Dil Khan, his son and three security guards were killed when a bomb exploded in Tump, a small town in Turbat district near the Pakistan-Iran border. Dawn

A security official told that Raham Dil Khan was in his pick-up van when the bomb planted on the road was detonated by a remote control.

Two people died on the spot and three others in hospital.

A spokesman for the Baloch Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the bomb attack. Three people were killed when a landmine exploded in the coalfield area of Chamalang in Loralai district.

Levies officials said the three men were going to Duki when their vehicle hit the landmine planted on the road.

The deceased were identified as Faiz Mohammad, Mohammad Anwar and Mohammad Saeed Jan.

No-one claimed responsibility for the landmine attack.

Two tribal elders were killed in an incident of firing in Kalat town.

Police sources said that Wadera Dad Mohammad Mengal and Abdul Mengal were going home when they came under fire and were killed on the spot.

NATO DRIVER KILLED: A trailer carrying supplies for Nato troops in Afghanistan was attacked by gunmen on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Khuzdar district on Thursday.

The driver of the trailer was killed and three people were injured.

The assailants set the trailer on fire. The driver was identified as Ghufoor Gul.

Meanwhile, an employee of the Engineering University Khuzdar was injured when some people fired four rockets on the university.
