Mohammad Ahmed has written several TV serials for directors of repute. It is difficult to gauge how good he is for these days there are as many playwrights as there are cricket lovers.

What’s interesting is the way he promotes the people he works with, and there’s nothing wrong with that, provided they deserve the right kind of promotion.

Talking to Nida Yasir on TV Mohammad Ahmed claimed that Marina Khan and Sonia Rehman were proficient in the Urdu language. He fortified his claim by saying that Marina could read Urdu fluently. Is this guy for real? Because whatever we have seen of the two actresses, particularly Marina Khan, they may be OK performers, but when it comes to Urdu, only that person can shower praise on them who knows little of eloquence or linguistic enunciation. Mediocrity, thy name is television!
