The Indian government released 39 Pakistani prisoners, including two women, as a goodwill gesture. Border guard officer Lakhbir Singh said the detainees were held in eight separate prisons on charges of either overstaying their visa or illegally crossing to India.
The Government of Pakistan decided on Monday to reciprocate the gesture by calling for the release of 89 Indian prisoners from Pakistani jails. – Photos by AFP

Indeed a good start. Someday wishfully in my life time I see India and Pakistan have no borders and two culturally alike people will live with each other in harmony. I would love to see people from India and Pakistan visiting each other and celebrate traditionally common festivals together, watch cricket together, enjoy movie together, and enjoy the food together. Amin
50,000 years of shared history can not be hidden behind a 60 year old border! Long live our people and culture.
Law is above all, but I think petty cases like over staying visa duration or inadvertently crossing border should be treated leniently. Once prison term is over, please send them home with due respect. They have suffered enough.
Excellent. I appreciate your views; we all respect to each other.
I Don't Love India or Pakistan… I Love only Humanity and Peace in both Countries….
It is true we must love humanity, but it is true that 1st we are muslim then pakistan, So we should proud to be a pakistani
Well said Sarah, If it was in my authority I should have awarded you with a Nobel prize…well said
Your feelings are laudable as we all wants peace between the two countries
A world without borders, Sarah, sure, that's the way to go. Really appreciate your views.
I totally agree, we need to work and live in peace for better mankind and help raise standard of living including education instead of spending on arms which only benfits & flurishes arms manufacturing countries of the world.
May your tribe grow and flourish, not only in Pakistan but all over this planet. Trust me, eventually there will be only one religion, and that shall be the religion of Humanity and Universal Brotherhood. Bless you young lady, you have a glorious future.
gud to hear
Also please mention the mental health of these Pakistani.
Also please mention if they were tortured.
Stop suspecting India. Do the photographs say that the prisoners were tortured ?
I am a Muslim from India…we don't face any discrimination here
What u hear about India is far from reality here.
Excellent view!! A true Indian I must say!!!
And that is the voice of my brother
We dont love as we don't have large hearts.
Being an Indian and following Indian media, I always see biased and negative news about Pakistan. I think Afridi was right at some point when he said we dont have big hearts. Remember the hospitality we Indians got during the last Indian tour of Pakistan. Although we won the series at their homegrounds, we got the respect and hospitality without any negative incidents and calling names. If we could have reciprocated even half of that I would have been a very proud Indian today, not that I am any less.
Long live the friendship!
tht z the great start between two countries v pakistanis are happy with this act.thr z no difference between u nd we dear
we love ur youraj as u love afridi
