QUETTA, April 10: A pipeline supplying natural gas to a purification plant in Loti gas field was blown up on Sunday, Levies Force sources said. Unknown gunmen placed an explosive device alongside the pipeline connecting two gas wells to the main plant and detonated it in the small hours of Sunday.

“A big portion of the pipeline was destroyed in the powerful explosion, forcing a suspension of gas supply from two wells to the purification plant,” the sources said.

Repairing of the pipeline could not be started till late in the night due to security reasons.
